4Retail in charge of building large restaurant for La Piemontesa chain

January 2020-. 4Retail, a leading construction company in the restaurant sector, has been charged with building a large restaurant, with space for up to 230 diners, for the well-known chain La Piemontesa at the Portal de la Marina shopping centre in Ondara (Alicante).

The new restaurant is free standing, the first by Italian restaurant franchise La Piemontesa. This type of premises is known for having large outdoor-seating zones as well as big indoor dining areas. The team of experts at 4Retail completed all the works for the civil works project, installations, joinery and exteriors. The new restaurant has a total interior surface area of 600 m², plus a 160-m² terrace.

It has a seafaring theme and the interior design is reminiscent of an old shipyard, with wooden cladding and high ceilings from which real fishermen’s boats hang, one more than 8 metres long. Brass lamps, port-style double beacons, old portholes, life rings and wooden paddles are just some of the decorative elements featured.

It is worth noting that, despite the size of the restaurant, cosy micro-spaces have been created with benches upholstered in blue fabric and tables with white tablecloths, giving it a warm, homey feel.

“La Piemontesa is a rapidly expanding restaurant chain and we are happy to be part of their first free-standing establishment,” says Javier Paradell, partner and co-founder of 4Retail. “This project was very special because it featured elements that are a bit out of the ordinary, such as the real wooden boats hanging from the ceiling. Thanks to our advanced methodology, we did an exhaustive study of the project and reengineering and our technical team applied the best technical solution,” he concludes.
